  Gerbang Perdana Hari Raya Open House at The Managing Director, Dato' Yahya A. Jalil's Residence
  12 November 2005 - The Managing Director, Dato' Yahya A. Jalil's Residence, Johor Bahru

On 12 November 2005 , Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd (GPSB) had it's Hari Raya open house celebration at Dato' Yahya A. Jalil's residence in Johor Bahru. It was the second event to be held there since the previous one in 2003.

GPSB management and staff received guests as early as 11.30 a.m. from the old folks home, orphanage and children from spastic home who joined in the festivities. A total of 1,200 guests comprising officials from Johor State Government agencies, politicians, consultants, contractors, business associates, members of media, staff and their family members attended the said event.

  Among the dignitaries who attended the open house were DYMM Sultan Iskandar Johor, DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor, Minister of Entrepreneur & Co-Operative Development, Dato' Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin and Malaysian Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Dato' N. Parameswaran

Guests were entertained with live music from Keroncong Kluang troupe that belted out a selection of serene festive & non-festive songs most befitting in bringing about the spirit of Aidilfitri to the crowd.

A variety of local delicious food sourced from various vendors in Johor including nasi briyani, mee rebus, laksa, satay, rojak, lemang and rendang were served on the buffet line together with assortments of cakes, cookies, pastries and local fruits. There was a satisfying combination of hot & cold drinks and also ice blended coffee to quench people’s thirst.

Duit Raya were distributed to the children of all guests, orphanage, spastic children and old folks upon their departure.

The function came to an end after His Majesty bade farewell at 6.00p.m.
