08 September 2007 - The Director General of Public Works Department, YBhg. Dr. Ir. Judin Abd. Karim accompanied by Timbalan Pengarah Kerja Raya III, YBhg Ir. Selvanayagam and Ketua Sektor Penyelenggaraan, YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Annies Md Ariff made a working visit to the Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu (GSB) project site.

The entourage was received by Construction Director of JKR-GSB, Ir. Tuan Haji Zulkifly Madon and Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd (GPSB) Operation Director, Tuan Haji Rostam Razali.

After the morning refreshment the entourage was ushered to GSB meeting room for project progress briefing session. The briefing was conducted by Ir Tuan Haji Zulkifly Madon with an hour slide presentation on the progress of JB Sentral, Short Term Access (STA) and Permanent Link.

The entourage later visited the construction site and made a few passed through and stopovers at Interchange No.1, Tanjung Puteri Bridge, aerial views of Short Term Access/ Permanent Link and JB Sentral. Thereafter, the entourage walked through the Link Bridge and headed towards the CIQ building. They toured around the CIQ building and were briefed on the progress by Tuan Hj. Rostam. The entourage also visited the Operation Maintenance Centre (OMC) as well as the Advanced Maintenance Precision Management (AMPM) office and was briefed of its function by AMPM Operations Director, En. Malek Abdul Jalil.

The visit ended with a group photography session at the CIQ Courtyard (South Wing) and the entourage was later treated for lunch at the cafeteria of the CIQ Complex.

The working visit ended at 12.45 p.m.
