At 3p.m. on Friday, 2 March 2007 , over three hundred invitees consisting of JKR-GSB project team, staff members of Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd (GPSB) and their families, consultants, guests from Masjid Bukit Chagar and orphanages from Rumah Barkat were assembled at the CIQ Complex in Bukit Chagar. This year, GP staff get a chance to get their families together in a different way, that is to be taken around the CIQ Complex since this opportunity will soon be restricted to the public once it is handed over to the Government.

The main objective of this event is to recognize the services of JKR-GSB project team, GP staff and those who have been involved in this project, who have contributed tirelessly for the past few years as well as to thank their parents/spouses for their commendable support and understanding through those grueling and demanding years.

The visit commenced with a welcoming speech by YBhg. Tan Sri Razali bin Ismail, Chairman of GPSB. In his speech, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri thanked JKR-GSB project team, GP staff and all that have been involved in this project for their hard work, commitment, dedication and sacrifices to ensure the success of this project as what it is seen today. He also paid a special tribute to all family members for their undivided support and unseen sacrifices.
