  VISIT BY THE DULI YANG AMAT MULIA TUNKU MAHKOTA JOHOR, TUNKU IBRAHIM ISMAIL IBNI SULTAN ISKANDAR TO THE CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION & QUARANTINE COMPLEX (CIQ), BUKIT CHAGAR, JOHOR BAHRU

31 July 2008 – The DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Sultan Iskandar made an unofficial visit to the Customs, Immigration & Quarantine (CIQ) Complex in Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru. The DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor arrived at the Complex at 2.00 p.m. He was received by the senior management of Gerbang Perdana (GP) and Advanced Maintenance Precision Management Sdn Bhd (AMPM) headed by GP Chairman, YBhg Tan Sri Razali at the entrance of the CIQ Complex.
The visit by the DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor was to coincide with the final operations of simulation exercises which was jointly organised by AMPM together with other government agencies. The simulation process exercises commenced with a short briefing on the general overview of the exercises by Dato’ Dell Akbar Khan, the Director of Security, Safety, Health and Environment of AMPM to DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor. Thereafter, the DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor was invited for a passing through of the Short Term Access (STA) where he drove his own car accompanied together in the car by YBhg Tan Sri Razali Ismail and YB Dato’ Yahya A. Jalil. There were 100 motorcycles, 50 cars and 2 buses involved during the simulation process.

After the simulation exercises, the DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor was treated for a high tea at the CIQ VIP Lounge at Level 2. He was later adjourned to the VIP Lounge for a brief on the simulation process via Close-Circuit TV (CCTV). Encik Malek Abdul Jalil, the Operations Director of AMPM and Dato’ Dell was tasked to explain on the security system used in the complex.

Before the visit ends the DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor had the pleasure to visit the CIQ Complex passenger’s hall area where he was introduced to the immigration officers whom were involved in the simulation process.
The visit ended at 4.30 p.m.
