YB Dato' Hj Mohd Khaled Bin Nordin, Deputy Minister of Works paid an official visit to the Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu (GSB) project in Johor Bahru.
His arrival at the JKR-GSB site office was greeted by YBhg Tan Sri Dato Ir. Hj Zaini Omar, Director General of JKR, YBhg Dato' Ng Chong Yuen, Deputy Director General of JKR, Dato' Yahya A. Jalil, Managing Director of Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd (GPSB), representatives of state government agencies and directors of GPSB. Also present were YBhg Dato' Hj Hamzah Bin Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) and YB En Freddie Long, state assemblyman for Stulang. |

His visit commenced with the viewing of the new customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complex model followed by briefing by Ir. Anton Sebastian, General Manager, Construction of JKR. After a group photograph the entourage proceeded to site where Tn Hj Rostam Razali, Operations Director of GPSB briefed on the progress of construction of CIQ. Before completing site visit the entourage also had the opportunity to view Workers' Quarters. A comprehensive presentation on project status was later held at the new GPSB site office which housed GPSB staff and its consultants followed by a short tour of the office. |

This working visit also commemorated signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between GPSB and Akademi Binaan Malaysia (ABM), a training arm of CIDB Malaysia where in this significant event Dato' Yahya A. Jalil and YBhg Dato' Hamzah Bin Hassan who was also Chairman of ABM were the signatories and witnessed by Operations Director of GPSB and En Rohaizi Mohd Jusoh, South Regional Manager of ABM. A press conference was later called. |

The working visit by YB Deputy Minister of Works ended with a lunch which was hosted at GPSB courtyard and all guests bid their farewell at 2.30 p.m. |
