Has been involved in the engineering field since 1975. Has held senior management positions such as Managing Director of Antah Biwater Sdn Bhd (1980-1990) and Managing Director of Saujawie Sdn Bhd (1990-1999). Joined Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd in November 1999 as Acting Chief Operating Officer, appointed Director in January 2000 and appointed as Executive Director in March 2002. Ir. Mohd Yusof joined the Royal Military College (Sungai Besi) in 1967 and was commissioned as an officer of the Royal Malaysian Engineers in 1970. He had served with the Malaysia Armed Forces in various capacities between 1970 and 1983. Since leaving the Armed Forces, he had held senior positions in the commercial sector, such as Managing Director, Pembinaan Junik Sdn Bhd (1983 to 1998) and Executive Director of Raja Chulan & Rakan Sdn Bhd (1983 to 1998). He joined Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd in 1999.

He held senior management position as Deputy Project Manager in Hazama Corporation, an international Japanese construction company from 1984 to 2004 before joining Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd in May 2004. He is also a member of The Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
