Bina jambatan baru ganti Tambak Johor

CONCLUSION FOR CIQ CONTRACT

Arising from termination of the Bridge Contract, there were some components of works in the original Bridge Contract that integrates with the CIQ components. These work components – 6 in total were properly identified and re-instated into the CIQ contract vide a supplemental contract. These works required to be continued in order to complete the CIQ development as without these components, the CIQ would not have been functional and would have risk it becoming a white elephant project

Due these additional 6-items, the original CIQ Contract which initially only had one completion date had to be reviewed and properly crafted to be divided into several sections to facilitate usage of the completed sections. Arising from this, the completion dates for the overall GSB project was staged into 7 Sections over a period of 4 years (Section 1 completed in may 2007 and the last Section 7 completed in December 2011). The primary objective of breaking the Contract down into the 7 sections was to ensure the respective completed sections provided sufficient facilities that is safe and can be fully utilized and benefited by the Government and also public. With continuous efforts and dedication of Gerbang’s project team, all 7 sections of CIQ Contracts were completed and the final section of was successfully completed on 1 Dec 2011.
